Must be a fairly common problem, found one of these TVs at a garage sale with these symptoms. After fixing, based on the heat off the working power supply at the heat sinks it would last longer if active cooling was applied to those heatsinks in terms of a small computer fan. I think they're running the parts too hot and in time it leads to failure. Before fixing this I've heard some of these, depending on the brand of caps used, might have problems with the caps going too.
